I have the honor to request, that you will be pleased to appoint Capt Callender Irvine, Superintendent of the military Stores of the United States in the room of Genl William Irvine deceased.

Accept Sir the assurances of high respect & consideration

From 1804 to 1812, Callender Irvine served as the superintendent of military Stores at the Schuylkill Arsenal (Heitman, Dictionary description begins Francis B. Heitman, comp., Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army, Washington, D.C., 1903, 2 vols. description ends , 1:564).
