Dear Sir

The Bearer Mr. H. Toland Junr is a very interesting young Gentleman & Son of a very worthy Citizen of Philadelphia—I could not let him go to Washington without giving him an opportunity of paying his respects to you—

Jefferson is very well employed, and in good health—

With the greatest regard, I beg leave to Subscribe myself your obliged friend
