Dear Sir

In reply to your esteemed respects of the 23d., the Cotton seed shall certainly be used agreeably to your directions—Mr Brown tells me there is no charge on it

I thank you very kindly for your polite invitation to Monticello, & you may be assured it will add much to my pleasure, & that of my family, to see you there, shd. they or I have occasion to visit your neighbourhood—

With sincere wishes, for your health & happiness—I am very truly, your friend &c.
