Amsterdam, 10 Jan. 1788. Acknowledge TJ’s letter of 30 and 31 Dec. 1787; advise that they have paid Fizeaux & Cie. the interest due on their loan to the United States and have asked them to assure the creditors that the principal of that loan is secure; have honored TJ’s draft for 2750 florins “for the Current Expence of the Legation to the Court of France.”
