RC (MHi); at foot of text: “Thomas Jefferson, president of the United States”; endorsed by TJ as received 19 Mch. and so recorded in SJL. Enclosure: probably Carey’s third edition of the broadside of TJ’s Inaugural Address (see Carey to TJ, 31 Mch.).
