New York, January 6, 1789. Solicits Hamilton’s aid as an attorney in a controversy with one of the officers who served under Hazen during the Revolution and who was trying to collect a “Note of hand” from Hazen.

1Hazen was brevetted a brigadier general during the Revolution. He settled in Vermont where he owned land.
