From Thomas Jefferson to William Temple Franklin, 6 July 1790

To William Temple Franklin

Tuesday July 6. 1790.

Mr. Jefferson has the honor to present his compliments to Mr. Franklin. He is here without furniture, without housekeeper and faisant très mauvaise chere. If Mr. Franklin is disengaged to-day, and will do him the favor to partake of his little meal without ceremony, it will be so much the more obliging. He dines at half past three pretty exactly.

RC (PPAmP). Not recorded in SJL.
