AD, General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 274.

John Elliott lived in Fairfax Parish.

James Oram lived in Fairfax County. GW recorded in his Guardian Accounts having bought “a Portmanteau horse” from James Oram, of Fairfax County, for his ward’s “use” (ViLxW).

Rachel McKeaver (McIver) was in GW’s employ for ten months beginning in November 1767, perhaps as a replacement for Sarah Harle who left his employment at the end of May 1767. Both women seem to have worked in the house at Mount Vernon, probably as housekeepers. See Cash Accounts, February 1769. n.4. Rachel McKeaver may be the woman of that name who was living near the Cacapon River in Hampshire County in October 1767. It also is possible she was the “Widow McKeaver,” who was given ten shillings by GW in April 1756, a few days after her husband Darby McKeaver was killed by Indians (General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 29, and GW to Henry Harrison, 26 April 1756).

See General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 94, which gives the amount as £7.7.3.
