From Thomas Jefferson

Monticello [Va.] 13 Aug. 1792. Sends “the inclosed letters which the tardy movement of the Post did not bring to him till yesterday evening, a day later than he should have arrived.”1

Delamotte to Jefferson of 5 June, and from David Humphreys to Jefferson of 17 and 20 June, all of which Jefferson recorded in his Summary Journal of Public Letters as having been received on 12 Aug. 1792 (DLC: Jefferson Papers).
