for the Year Ending September 30, 1793

[Philadelphia, April 14, 1794] This report consists of a general statement of exports from the United States for one year ending on September 30, 1793, a “Supplement A” concerning exports, and a “Summary B” giving the total value of exports to each nation in both the general statement and the supplement.1

ASP description begins American State Papers, Documents, Legislative and Executive, of the Congress of the United States (Washington, 1832–1861). description ends , Commerce and Navigation, I, 268–97.

1. On April 14, 1794, “The Vice-President laid before the Senate a letter from the Secretary from the department of Treasury with a general statement of exports from the United States for one year, ending on the 30th day of September, 1793 …” (Journal of the Senate, 3rd Cong., 1st Sess. description begins Journal of the Senate of the United States of America, Being the First Session of the Third Congress, Begun and Held at the City of Philadelphia, December 2d, 1793. And in the Eighteenth Year of the Sovereignty of the Said United States (Philadelphia: Printed by John Fenno, Printer to the Senate of the United States [1794]). description ends , 107). H’s communicating letter has not been found.

This report was for the fiscal year which ended September 30, 1793, rather than for the year ending on June 30 as requested by the Senate. See H to John Adams, February 6, 1794.

The three statements included in this report are signed by Tench Coxe. The general statement of exports is dated March 16, 1794, and “Supplement A” and “Summary B” are dated March 20, 1794.
