The Secretary of State has the honor to send inclosed to the Secretary of the Treasury some Documents concerning John Cleves Symmes’s purchase,1 which he this moment found in a bundle marked “papers to be acted on” and which he supposes may throw some light on the subject of the lands in question.

Tuesday 18th. of Febry 1794.
