From Alexander Hamilton to Egbert Benson, 18 February 1784

To Egbert Benson

[New York] February 18, 1784. “I am engaged in several causes depending on the Trespass law on the side of the defendants. Three of my Clients who are British Merchants are anxious to have your assistance.… The actions are brought in the Mayor’s Court; so that I suppose the argument will come on in about five weeks. Will it be convenient for you to be here?”
