By the President’s command T. Lear has the honor to transmit to the Secretary of the Treasury a Resolution of the Senate respecting Loans made in Holland &c. with which the President requests the Secretary to comply.1

1The Senate resolution, adopted on January 23, 1793, reads as follows: “Resolved, That the President of the United States be requested to lay before the Senate, copies of the powers given by him for the negotiation of the loans authorized by the laws of the 4th and 12th of August, 1790, and of the communications from the Public Commissioners in Holland” (Annals of Congress description begins The Debates and Proceedings in the Congress of the United States; with an Appendix, Containing Important State Papers and Public Documents, and All the Laws of a Public Nature (Washington, 1834–1849). description ends , III, 633).
