Treasury Department, July 29, 1790. “I had the honour of receiving the three … draughts from Governor Johnston, and yourself for 18,136 39/90 Dollars, 8507 46/90 Dollars & 1680 Dollars which were remitted to this office. They … will be duly passed to the Credit of the State of North Carolina.”
