Mr. James Leitch is requested to pay to Edmund Meeks or order 14 Dollars 71 cents on account of Th: Jefferson.

TJ gave Meeks the order on Leitch for 14 dollars 71 cents that same day, and Leitch paid it on 6 May 1822 (MB description begins James A. Bear Jr. and Lucia C.
