Dear Sir,

I have taken the liberty of enclosing to you the proof sheets of a work which I am about to publish. I now request, that so soon as you shall be of opinion that the explanation which I have given of the Apocalypse is correct, you will be pleased to express it, in a letter to me; giving me leave to use it.
