Treasury Department, Revenue Office, February 1, 1793. Encloses “for the purpose of submission to the President, a contract between the Superintendent of the light House at Portsmouth1 in New Hampshire and Titus Salter2 for six months.” Discusses the terms of the contract.

1Joseph Whipple, collector of customs at Portsmouth, was also superintendent of the Portsmouth lighthouse.
