From Alexander Hamilton to Richard Harison, 18 May 1796
To Richard Harison1
[New York] May 18, 1796. “Do me the favour, if possible, to bring Bouvier to a decision this day. Much alarm & suspicion exist with the other party who is unwilling longer to leave unessayed measures of Coertion, if an arrangement cannot be made on the proposed basis.”
