Martha Washington to Abigail Adams

Wednesday— May 12. [1790]

Mrs. Washington presents her compliments to Mrs. Adams— She wishes to know how the Vice-President and Mrs. Adams are to day— Mrs. Washington is happy to inform that the President is a little better to day than he was yesterday1
