From Benjamin Lincoln

Boston, March 24, 1790. States that “General Warren1 is going in the Morning to the City of New York to settle his public accounts as a Member of the Navy board, in this State.” Recommends General Warren’s son, Henry, for “an office in the revenue.”

1James Warren of Plymouth, Massachusetts, was paymaster general for the Continental Army from 1775 to 1776, and served on the Continental Navy Board from 1776 to 1781.
