To Alexander Hamilton from Henry Knox, 12 April 1794

From Henry Knox

[Philadelphia, April 12, 1794. On May 14, 1794, Tench Coxe wrote to Hamilton and referred to “the two Estimates No 1 & 21 of the Secrety of War, contained in his letter to you of the 12th. of April last.” Letter not found.]

1Henry Knox had submitted these estimates to George Washington on April 10, 1794 (LC, George Washington Papers, Library of Congress). The estimates deal with the fortification of ports and harbors and the naval armament. See Knox to H, March 29, April 21, 1794.
