I have the honor to submit to your inspection the report and letter which I have just received from the Commissioners of Indian Affairs for the Southern district.1 I have the honor to be Sir With the highest respect Your Most Obedient Humble Servant.

1Knox is undoubtedly referring to the letter of 17 Nov. 1789 to him from Benjamin Lincoln, Cyrus Griffin, and David Humphreys, the United States commissioners to the southern Indians, enclosing their report on their negotiations with the southern tribes.
