I have the honor to submit for your approbation the corrected copies of letters to Governor Moultrie and Major General Pinckney1—and which are intended to be forwarded by Captain German who will sail to morrow.2 With perfect respect I have the honor to be Your obedient Servant

1The letters to William Moultrie and Charles Cotesworth Pinckney have not been identified.

2John Garman (German) of Philadelphia was master of the ship Charleston, which cleared Philadelphia, bound for Charleston, S.C., by 17 June (General Advertiser [Philadelphia], 17 June). Garman sailed ships between Philadelphia and Charleston at least from 1786 to 1802.
