[Philadelphia] February 12, 1794. States “that the existing Light House act will expire in the ensuing recess of Congress by its own limitation.”2

2. “An Act supplementary to the act for the establishment and support of lighthouses, beacons, buoys, and public piers” ( 339 [March 2, 1793]) had extended the Government’s responsibility for maintaining these coastal facilities to July 1, 1794. This act was extended for another year by “An Act to continue in force for a limited time, the act supplementary to the act for the establishment and support of lighthouses, beacons, buoys, and public piers” ( 393 [June 7, 1794].
