From the Massachusetts Council

[Watertown, Mass.] 1 November 1775. Recommends staff officers in the regiment commanded by Lt. Col. Israel Hutchinson for commissions.1

1. Israel Hutchinson (1728–1811) was lieutenant colonel of the Massachusetts regiment formerly commanded by Col. John Mansfield. Hutchinson became colonel of the 27th Continental Infantry on 1 Jan. 1776 and resigned at the end of that year.
