Letter not found: from the Board of War, 25 Oct. 1779 . GW wrote the Board of War on 19 Nov. : “I have duly received your several favors of the 25th of Octbr and the 2d 8th 10th and 13th of this month.”
Letter not found: from the Board of War, 27 Dec. 1777. GW wrote the Board of War on 2–3 Jan . 1778 that “Your several Letters of the 23d, 24th & 27th Ulto have been recieved.”

Letter not found : from the Board of War, 30 Sept. 1779. On 8 Oct., GW wrote the Board of War: “I have been honored with yours of the 30th ulto on the subject of Major Francis Murray’s exchange for the Hessian Major Stein lately captured.”
Letter not found : from the Board of War, 26 Feb. 1779. GW wrote the Board of War on 4 March : “I recd yours of the 26 inclosing papers relating to the arrangement of the Army.”

GW wrote the Board of War on 22 July: “I have now to acknowledge the Honor of Your Several Letters of the 28 Ulto and of the 10th 11th 14th & 15th Instant with the several papers & Commissions to which they refer.” GW also wrote the Board of War on 25 July: “I am honored with your two letters of the 15th and 16th.”
Letter not found : from the Virginia Board of War, 18 Sept. 1779. On 20 Oct., GW wrote James Innes, a member of that board: “I have been honoured with the Board’s letter of the 18th Ulto.”

In his letter to Henry Laurens of 1 Jan. 1778, GW refers to receiving a letter from the secretary of the board of the “24th ulto,” and in his letter to the Board of War of 2–3 Jan., GW writes that “Your several Letters of the 23d, 24th & 27th Ulto have been recieved.”
