1. By 18 Nov. 1818, the U.S. Treasury had paid $350,000 to Yazoo claimants under the Upper Mississippi Company, and $1,412,134.96 to claimants under the Georgia Mississippi Company (ASP description begins American State Papers: Documents, Legislative and Executive, of the Congress of the United States … (38 vols.; Washington, D.C., 1832–61). description ends , Finance, 3:281–83).
