1. The enclosed Senate resolution, dated 10 June 1813 (1 p.), referred Albert Gallatin’s nomination as a member of the St. Petersburg-bound peace commission, along with JM’s message “of the 7th Instant,” to a committee composed of Senators Anderson, King, Giles, Brown, and Bledsoe. The message included in the referral was actually JM to the Senate, 3 June 1813, which was received in the Senate on 7 June ( , 2:350–51).
