§ From James Jones Wilmer

13 June 1812, Baltimore. Prays JM to accept the enclosed and asks to be placed “in a situation to be further useful.”1

1Wilmer probably enclosed a copy of his tract An Address Delivered in Havre-de-Grace, June 4, 1812: in Consequence of a Pamphlet Set Forth by a Certain Nimrod Hughes, Denouncing That Day as the Awful Period of Visitation to the Inhabitants of This Earth, by the Almighty (Baltimore, 1812; Shaw and Shoemaker description begins R. R. Shaw and R. H. Shoemaker, comps., American Bibliography: A Preliminary Checklist for 1801–1819 (22 vols.; New York, 1958–66). description ends 24534).
