Your note of the 19th Ulto Covering a Copy of an Instrument signed by Burwell Logwood, Robt Peyton & C Peyton dividing the property of the late John Peyton reached me by last Mail—Your letter of the 12th same int has not come on as soon as it does the contents thereof will be duely attended to

RC (MHi); between dateline and salutation: “Thomas Jefferson Esquire”; endorsed by TJ as received 23 July 1810 and so recorded in SJL.

TJ described his 19 May 1810 note to Morgan in SJL as “coverg paper omittd” from his letter of 12 May 1810. Neither the 19 May 1810 note nor its enclosed instrument have been found.
