Yours of the 8th. has but just come to hand. I return the letters from Genl. D. I shall set out tomorrow morning for Washington & proceed by way of Fredg. expecting to reach Washington on Monday. Meantime will you resolve the arrangement recommended with respect to Connecticut Volunteers? Friendly respects
