Dear Sir
I inclose your last quarterly account, which shews a balance in your favor of $:207.43.—
Eleven of the boxes lately received for you were forwarded by Mr Randolph’s boats on the 30th ultimo, with a Hhd of Molasses.—There were no herrings to be had.

TJ’s notation alludes to dunfish, salted New England cod that turns a dun color when cured ().
