I this moment recieve your favor on the subject of my bonds, [the] possession of mr Hanson, and now inclose you an authority to recieve them, of which I notify him by this post. I am Dear Sir

I notify him by this post: in his brief letter to Richard Hanson of this date, TJ requested that the bonds “given to the representative of Farrell & Jones for the debt of John Wayles” be delivered to Gibson & Jefferson (PrC in same; blurred; letterpressed on same sheet as letter above; at foot of text: “Mr Richard Hanson Petersburg”).
