Dear Sir

Some very important news arrived the day before yesterday from England, and Spain, as I wish our Government, to receive the earliest intelligence of what occurs on the other Side of the Atlantic, I have taken the liberty of Sending you three papers of this City, containing the above news.—

An Election was held on Monday & Tuesday last, in this City, to fill up two Vacancies that has occured since our last Session at Columbia, one in the Senate in the Place of John Drayton Esqr. Chosen Governor & Langdon Cheves Esqr., of the Hse of Representatives Chosen Atty. Genl.—Two decided Republicans were chosen. You may be assured we continue as busily as ever, attached, to our Country—With the highest consideration, I remain Yr. obedt. H Servt.
