To James Madison from James Holland, 11 April 1808

Washington 11th. of April 1808.

Sir

The undersigned being acquainted with Alfred Balch esqr atty at Law and with his father and family And being informed that he is desirous of going to Europe and of being the bearer of Governmental dispatches,

I take pleasure in Stating it as my opinion that he would perform that Service with honor and fidellity.
