14 February 1805, Department of State. “As Mr. Eaton’s accounts are depending in the Treasury, the memorial of Mr. Cotton, enclosed in your letter of yesterday1 has been transmitted together with the letter to the Auditor, in whose power it will be to answer the question you propose.”
