1Franco Petrus van Berckel (1760–1836) and his sister, Jacoba Margaretha van Berckel (b. 1764). Possibly Pierce Butler, congressional delegate from South Carolina, 1787–88 and delegate to the Constitutional Convention, and his wife, Mary Middleton Butler (1750–90). The Butlers had four daughters: Sarah Butler (c. 1772–1831), twins Anne Elizabeth “Eliza” Butler (1774–1854) and Frances Butler (1774–1836), and Harriot Percy Butler (c. 1775–1815). Antoine René Charles Mathurin de la Forêt, French vice consul, and his wife Catherine Beaumanoir de la Forêt. Elizabeth Livingston Otto (1761–87), daughter of Peter Van Brugh Livingston. She married Otto in March 1787 and died in childbirth in December 1787.

2Michel Chartier de Lotbinière, marquis de Lotbinière (1723–98), who was in New York attempting to recover his American properties and had travelled with John Paul Jones from France. Benjamin Hawkins (1754–1818), delegate from North Carolina to the Continental Congress, 1787. Dorothy Quincy (Mrs. John) Hancock (1747–1830).
