Dr. Sr.

I had Yesterday the Pleasure of recg. yr. Favor of the 26th. augt. and thank You for the friendly Congratulations and Sentiments expressed in it.1

Whether or not I shall continue to reside in this City, or whether and when I shall resume the Business of my Profession, are Matters respecting wh. I have deferred coming to any Determination for the Present. My long neglected private affairs will not demand my first attention, and they must be first ^a little^ arranged before I enter upon new Business of any kind. But whatever may be my Pursuits, or wherever I may reside, it will will always give me Pleasure to hear of your Welfare, and if in my Power to promote it Be pleased to make my affectionate Compliments to your good Mother—& believe to be with sincere Regard Dr Sir Your most obt Servt.
