Philadelphia April 27th 1798—

Sir

I have received your favor of April 24th inclosing the address of the Inhabitants of little Eggharbour—

The zeal and frankness of this unanimous declaration <and> is remarkable and purely American—my Answer is enclosed which I pray you to present in the manner most convenient and agreeable
