Accept my thanks for your obliging Letter of the 28 ult—1 The motives which prompted, and the Sentiments which are expressed in it, make correspondent Impressions on my Mind—

The departure ^Removal^ of my excellent Daughter from the House of her earthly, to the House of her heavenly Father, leaves me nothing to regret or lament on her account— Her absence is nevertheless a Privation which I feel very sensibly, both on my own account and that of her affectionate Brothers and Sisters. I hope we shall all be favored with Grace to derive Consolation from the Reflection, that it ^her Departure^ was ordered by infinite Wisdom and Goodness; and that this temporary Separation will terminate in a perpetual Reunion.
