RC 2 pp. JM forwarded the RC, listing nominations from Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Connecticut, in a message to the Senate on the same day (Senate Exec. Proceedings description begins Journal of the Executive Proceedings of the Senate of the United States of America (3 vols.; Washington, 1828). description ends , 2:289–90).
