§ From Peter Crary and Others

4 January 1810, New York. Urges JM to appoint Elijah Palmer to be surveyor at the port of Stonington, Connecticut, in the event of the resignation of the incumbent, Jonathan Palmer. Recommends Elijah Palmer for his attachment to the “principles of ’76” and as one who has been persecuted for his political beliefs.
