Treasury Department, March 26, 1793. Submits “a communication from the commissioner of the Revenue, relating to a Contract for the building of a Beacon boat for the use of the River and Bay of Delaware.”1 Concurs in the views of the commissioner.2

2. An entry in for March 26, 1793, reads: “A Contract for buildg, a Beacon-Boat for the use of the River & Bay of Delaware, for 264 Dolls.—which being represented by the Commissr. to be upon the lowest terms that the object can be completed—and that it is necessary—I approved the same” ( , 91).
