Enclosure: [Tench Coxe], A Plan for encouraging Agriculture, and increasing the value of farms in the Midland and more Western Counties of Pennsylvania, applicable to several other Parts of that State, and to many Parts of the United States [Philadelphia, 1793], which detailed a scheme for construction of a town on the Susquehanna River and suggested that such an enterprise or similar ones on other bodies of water would increase commerce so greatly as to yield a substantial profit quickly (Sowerby, description begins E.
