To Thomas Jefferson from Benjamin Vaughan, 2 December 1790

From Benjamin Vaughan

Decr. 2, 1790.

There is nothing new. Peace seems established. The Belgic provinces cannot hold out. Some have been alarmed about French affairs, but I have good reason to think they go on as usual. The inclosed is submitted to you. A Copy has been sent [to the] Bp. of Autun.

RC (DLC); addressed; postmarked; endorsed by TJ as received 19 Jan. 1791 and so recorded in SJL; MS slightly torn.
