Rouen, 24 Feb. 1789. Since their letter to TJ of 4 Feb. 1788 they have heard nothing concerning the five cases of wine that were to have been sent from Bordeaux for TJ’s account by Bondfield. Hence they are returning herewith the “passeport” TJ had sent them to obtain exemption to duties along the route. They presume the plans were changed; if not, TJ can return it.
