110th. (Adams Papers)
Very few of the students have arrived. Not more than 15 of our Class have yet appeared. The tea Club were at my chamber: only 6 of them however were assembled. We had a supper and spent the evening at Freeman’s chamber.

Since I wrote to you from hence the 6th. of last month I have been much aflicted with the Rheumatism in my loins which confin’d me to my bed with pains great beyond Discription. I am now free of them, and shall leave this place in a few Days. Upon further reflection, I thought it best not to abandon the Idea of meeting Mr. Lamb, and therefore I wrote to him at Port Mahon that I wou’d go to...

I had the pleasure of receiving your obliging Letter of the 27th. of December, and if my endeavours to serve our Country well have the flattering effects you suppose, I shall think my Journey to Morocco one of the happiest Incidents of my life. We came here late last night, the roads and a broken Cariage having retarded us on the way longer than we had any reason to expect. On looking over my Papers this morning I found that the ratification of the Treaty together with the Letter to Taher Fennish to be sent to Moracco were in the Box. I therefore take the offer of Mr. Limosin to send them to you by the first safe hand. Permit me my...

Lincoln moved after them at Eight OClock on the same Evening and came on them by Surprize at 9. OClock the next Morning,...
A letter to my father under the same cover with this contains the latest information we have from Massts. To that letter I refer you. Having not reached this place till yesterday I have had no opportunity of making enquiry as to other News. The gentleman in Philada. who had conversed with me as to a Tobo. speculation in which your services might be made use of, has not yet recd. the...
Letter not found. 10 February 1787, New York . Enclosed with JM’s letter of the same date to his brother Ambrose and mentioned therein. Related the latest news of the insurrection in Massachusetts.
The extreme badness of the weather rendered our journey very disagreeable, and retarded our arrival here till yesterday. From Princeton to Paulus’ Hook we had a N. E. snow storm incessantly in our teeth. We met however with no misadventure, nor with any real difficulties except in passing some of the rivers some of which were clogged with Ice, and a half congealed mixture of snow & water which...
