BF received two other printed invitations during the months covered by this volume, both signed by Gaucher. The meeting of June 23 would celebrate the feast of St. John the Baptist; the new officers would be installed, followed by readings and a banquet. The July 21 meeting would include a “Reception au 1er. et 2d. Grade,” a report by commissioners on a brother proposed for affiliation, a banquet, and readings by the following men: the comte de Milly, the new vénérable (XXIII, 128n); La Salle d’Offémont (XXXIV, 470n); François de Neufchâteau (XXXVI, 461n); Pastoret, the new premier orateur (XXXVIII, 486–7n); and “Le Blanc.” This was second secrétaire Antoine Blanc, dit Le Blanc de Guillet (1730–1799), a man of letters, former Oratorian, and teacher of rhetoric: DBF, under Le Blanc de Guillet; Le Bihan, Francs-maçons parisiens, p. 297; Amiable, Une Loge maçonnique, pp. 323–4 of the 1st pagination and 186–7 of the 2nd; Tableau des Frères … des Neuf Sœurs for 1783 (Yale University Library).
