A very near Relation of Dr. Cadwalladers5 of Philadelphia presents his respectfull compliments to His Excellency Benjamin Franklyn Esqr. and wishes to have the honor of an Audience—He has taken the Liberty of sending by the bearer, the London papers from the 20th. Ulto. to the 4th. Inst.

5. The late Dr. Thomas Cadwalader (I, 209n), whom BF knew for some fifty years. Cadwalader’s maternal grandfather Edward Jones (1645?–1737) had five sons, one of whom may have been the writer’s relative: DAB (under Cadwalader); PMHB, XVII (1893), 235.
