A Detachment to be Paraded at twelve oClock this day with two days Provisions and forty rounds ⅌ man.

Major Parr to take the Command.

After Orders

Brigadier General Wayne will take Command of the first and Brigadier General Irvine of the second Pennsylvania Brigades.2

A Surgeon or Mate from the 1st Connecticut Brigade to join the detachment under Major Parr.

1Elisha Ely (1748–1801) joined the 10th Continental Infantry Regiment as a surgeon’s mate in November 1775. In July 1776 he became surgeon of the 19th Continental Infantry Regiment, and in January of the following year he received a commission as a captain in the 6th Connecticut Regiment. In June 1780 he performed the duties of brigade major for the 1st Connecticut Brigade. Ely left the army in August 1780.
